Return to School Plan
2021-2022
The Dallas Elementary Board of Education has adopted a plan to return to school this fall. The plan includes measures and precautions that will be taken to promote a healthy school environment.
Dallas City Elementary will follow all Illinois mandates and CDC, IDPH, and ISBE guidance which includes:

Fully vaccinated individuals are no longer required to wear masks while in the school building. Vaccinated individuals may continue to choose to wear masks at any time.

Masks are strongly recommended to be worn inside by students and staff members who are not fully vaccinated. Under the current guidelines, masking is no longer mandated.

Upon entering the building and multiple times throughout the day all students, staff, and visitors will frequently wash their hands and apply hand sanitizer.

Students and staff will practice social distancing with 3 feet of distance between individuals.

Students and staff will use a clear refillable water bottle while at school. Water bottles may be refilled throughout the day. Traditional water fountains will not be available.

Surfaces throughout the building will be regularly cleaned and sanitized.
