PreK will hold their fall party in the morning. They will parade at 8:30 AM. Elementary classes have set party times according to their schedules. The JH party will be held in the afternoon. All parents are invited to join us for K-8 grade parade in the gym at 1:30 PM.
Dallas City Elementary School District #327 invites all Veterans to a Veterans Day Celebration on November 10, 2014. All Veterans are invited to breakfast.
Breakfast will include: Sausage Gravy and Biscuits, Tri-Tator, Scrambled Eggs, Cinnamon Roll, Juice and Milk.
Breakfast will be in the elementary school cafeteria at 8:30.
The Veterans Day Program will be in the elementary school gym at 9:00.

AMP! Academic Mentoring Program
Dallas City Elementary School will offer an after school tutoring program for some students in grades K-4. The first session will begin on September 29 and continue through December 18. The program will assist students in areas of specific academic need. The program will be held Mondays-Thursdays from 3:05-4:20. Invites were sent home on Thursday, September 25, 2014.
The Regional Office of Education in Monmouth is hosting an informative meeting about substitute teaching on Wednesday, October 29 from 9:00-noon. Call (309)734-6822 for more information. Substitutes at Dallas City Elementary must register with the Regional Office of Education in Macomb. The informative meeting is open to potential substitutes from all areas.

Congratulations to our Pre-K program! The program has achieved the Gold Circle of Quality rating from ExceleRate Illinois. This rating system has high standards and our progarm has met the highest standards. We are proud to offer this exceptional Pre-K program to our community.
This is a reminder that if you have students enrolling in Pre-K, Kindergarten, 2nd grade or 6th grade in the fall they will need the following health exams:
New Pre-K Students
Physical exam and required immunizations including Pneumococcal, lead screen, diabetes screening by October 15th.
Certified copy of birth certificate by October 15th .
Physical exam and required immunizations including proof of 2 doses Varicella vaccine , proof of 2 doses of MMR vaccine, lead screening, diabetes screening by October 15th
Certified copy of birth certificate (if not on file) by October 15th
Vision exam by an optometrist or ophthalmologist by October 15th
2nd Grade Students
Proof of 2 doses Varicella vaccine
6th Grade Students
Physical exam and required immunizations including one dose of Tdap vaccine, proof of 3 doses Hep B, proof of 2 doses of Varicella vaccine, proof of 2 doses of MMR vaccine and diabetes screening by October 15th
Beginning this school year (Fall of 2014) ALL students entering, advancing, or transferring into grades K - 12TH grades will be required to show proof of receipt of two doses of MMR vaccine and two doses of Varicella vaccine.
Failure to comply with the requirements of the health/immunization exam by October 15th will result in the student’s exclusion from school until the required health forms are presented to the school.
