Congratulations to our Spelling Bee winners!

Devin was the first-place winner and Michaela was runner-up. Both students will go to the Hancock County Courthouse for the County Bee on February 17.

Dallas City Elementary PTO Cookbook

The Dallas City PTO is preparing a cookbook featuring your child’s/ children’s favorite family recipes. If you would like to submit a recipe, we ask that your children’s names are on the recipe. The child or children’s names can be listed anyway you feel comfortable. For example: C. Reed, Or Chad Reed, or Chad R.

The categories for recipes are: Appetizers and beverages, soup, salad and vegetables, main dishes and casseroles, breads and desserts.

Deadline for recipes is Friday, January 27. We would like the recipes to be emailed to us @ dallascitypto@yahoo.com. With your help we are sure the cookbooks will be a huge success.

Junior High Trip to WIU

On Tuesday, January 31, 2012 junior high students will visit WIU for a performance by Child's Play touring group. Fifth and sixth graders will return to school after the performance. Seventh and eighth grade students will have a mini-campus tour and lunch provided by WIU. Students should prepare for the day by wearing appropriate clothing for the weather as they will be walking some distance outdoors. Thanks to WIU Performing Arts Society for sponsoring this trip. The cost of the show and transportatin are covered by WIU PAS.
