Middle School Math Instructor

This year I will be teaching 5th, 6th, 7th, and 8th grade math classes. Our textbooks have a web link that goes along with them. Under my links page, you will be able to access the textbook online and also get a personal tutor. This tutor will guide you through practice problems, which will then help with homework. So, no more excuses for not doing homework! Along with teaching math, I will also be teaching 5th grade science, 5th and 6th grade girls keyboarding, and a Power Up class. I look forward to my new challenges this year.

Who I am: I have lived in La Harpe for 7 years with my husband, Josh. We have a son, Keagan, who will be three years old in September. Before moving to Illinois, I grew up on a farm in New London, Iowa where I graduated high school. Then I attended Western Illinois University and received my BS in education. I have recentley completed a masters program from WIU as a Reading Specialist.

My hobbies inlcude walking, biking, gardening, and playing with my son. My number one hobby is rooting on the IOWA HAWKEYE football team. My husband and I travel to Iowa City on Saturdays to watch many of the home games. GO HAWKEYES!
