I am very excited to be your child's teacher this year. I grew up in Lomax and graduated from Dallas City. I earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Early Childhood and Elementary Education from Iowa Wesleyan College. I taught 3 years in Olathe, Kansas before returning home.

I have been married to my husband Dean for 18 years. We have four children: Zoey-14, Cale-12, Marah-8, and Emma 5. In my spare time I love to read, shop, and spend time with family and friends.

This year I will be using the 7 Habits in my classroom to teach leadership. Your child will learn the 7 Habits of Happy Kids and use them constantly in their everyday life. Your child will learn that "Leadership is doing what's right......even when no one is watching!!" They will have several opportunities to serve in leadership roles throughout the school year.
